What is Equine Navicular Syndrome?
A degenerative lameness condition in horses that involves the rotation of the navicular bone, located between the coffin and short pastern bones. The bone movement can cause inflammation and changes to the ligament, tendons or bursa sack in the horse's heel, causing pain.
